If sent to a forest, most adults might find it hard to answer questions about what kinds of diseases one might identify among plants or how to estimate board feet in a stand of trees. Yet a group of Homer High School students successfully answered questions like these at the annual Alaska Statewide Environthon at Chena Hot Springs and walked about with several first-place awards. |
