Homer Chamber awards scholarships
The Homer Chamber of Commerce recently awarded two $500 scholarships
and one $500 Brother Asaiah scholarship to 2008 high school graduates
at award ceremonies held this week: Marina Critchett and Kaley Petska,
both of Homer High school
The $500 Brother Asaiah Scholarship, administered by the Chamber of
Commerce, was awarded to Elikonida Reutov of Kachemak Selo School.
When Homer High School psychology teacher Diane Warner decided to look
for something a little more hands-on for her students as a final
project, she had no idea the result would be the school’s first-ever
Psychology Fair.
In fact, Warner speculated that this may just be the first Psychology Fair held on the Kenai Peninsula.
